Ona Mae Williams, 83, of Seymour, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017, at Lutheran Community Home. She was born on May 4, 1934, in Cortland to the late Mead and Elva (Garlock) McKain.

Mrs. Williams was a member of Cortland Christian Church and was very active in civic organizations. She was a member of American Legion Post #89, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Elks Club, 4-H Leader and past President of Lamda Chi Omega (she had held various office positions). Mrs. Williams was also the past President and held several office positions with Business & Professional Women’s Association. She was also a Broker for 8 years. She owned Freetown General Store for 15 years and later worked at Hildreth’s Liquor Mart in Seymour for 2 years. On December 6, 1959, at Central Christian Church in Seymour, she married Ronald B. Williams, he survives.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband; children, Rhonda Lambring, Roger Williams, Robert (Terra) Williams, and Russell Williams; grandchildren, Andrew and Jon Williams, Bailey and Kendall Lambring, Hayden and Hannah Williams and Jadden Williams; a great-grandson, Grayson Williams; and sister-in-law, June McKain.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Marshall McKain, Gerald McKain, Kenneth McKain and George Martin McKain; and sister, Alverda Miner.

Funeral services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Saturday, November 18 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Clifton Burton officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Saturday from11 am until time of service.
