CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Authorities say that a student has been found dead in a dormitory at The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. No foul play was suspected.

University officials informed the campus of the death Saturday night, according to The Herald-Sun in Durham.

Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Winston Crisp said the student died in the Hinton James Residence Hall, where many freshman and sophomores live. No further identifying information was released.

Crisp said that there were no suspicious circumstances, nor was there any danger to others in the dorm or on campus.
