Scarlett Allman, 77, of Bradenton Florida, originally of Jackson County Indiana, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2017 at Heritage Park Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Allman was born in Jackson County, Indiana, on November 12, 1940, to Guy and Helen (Bridgewater) Coleman, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Tom Allman, they enjoyed 21 years of marriage. Scarlett’s four loving sons, one stepson and two stepdaughters also survive her: Craig (Mirna) Davis, Darren (Kenya) Davis, Brett (Cheryl) Davis, Joby Davis, Marcus Allman, Stacey Barger and Lesley Ford. Mrs. Allman is also survived by her 19 dear grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, her sister Regina Williams, and many nieces and nephews. Scarlett adored her brother, Tom Coleman and two sisters, Bettie Ferris and Norma Jean Coleman who preceded her in death.

Sadly, Mrs. Allman was also preceded in death by stepson, Jeffrey Allman and two grandsons.

Scarlett spent the majority of her life in Jackson County, Indiana. She was a proud graduate of Brownstown Central High School. After graduation, Scarlett went on to lead a successful career in sales and marketing.

Passionate about the Lord, Scarlett was an active member of Medora Baptist Church in Medora, Indiana.

Seven years ago Scarlett and Tom moved to Bradenton, Florida to enjoy retirement. They spent their time as members of Cortez Road Baptist Church and enjoyed socializing and taking part in community events.

While she will be dearly missed, family and friends are left with fond memories to remember her by. Her sons will continue to proudly boast that their mom made the best fried chicken in the world. Her grandchildren will cherish the memories of playing “Am I taller than grandma yet?!” and making grandma’s colorful popcorn during sleepovers. Scarlett was beloved by many, her bold personality and fun loving spirit left lasting impressions on the hearts of her loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Scarlett Allman at a later date.
