STARKVILLE, Miss. — Police say a Mississippi man has been charged in connection with a church burglary.

WTVA-TV reports a Starkville man was arrested at a church after a burglar alarm alerted police. Starkville police said in a Facebook post that officers responded to the alarm at New Horizons Church on Monday at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Police say 20-year-old Shamar Banks is charged with commercial burglary.

It’s unclear if he has a lawyer. Further details have not been released.
