Seymour splits with New Albany

NEW ALBANY

The Seymour boys topped New Albany 110-73, while the girls fell to the Bulldogs 94-86 on Tuesday at the New Albany pool.

On the boys side, Daniel Hartman won the 200 individual medley in 2 minutes, 11 seconds and 100 butterfly in 58.61.

Dalton Polley placed first in the 200 freestyle (1:59.45) and 500 free (5:1835), and Dillon Polley took the 100 free (55.65) and 50 free (24.84).

Kyle Pfaffenberger was the winner of the 100 breaststroke (1:09.69), and Devin Ramsey finished on top in the diving well with 252.65 points.

The Owls won the 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay and 400 free relay.

In the girls competition, the Owls won five events.

Mary Kate Pritchett won the 100 butterfly in 1:11.38, and Elizabeth Hartman took the 100 backstroke in 1:15.16.

Breanna Hammond scored 147.50 to win the diving competition.

The 200 medley relay team of Pritchett, Katie Turner, Molly Hayes and Alexa McKinney won in 2:10.87. Hayes, Turner, Pritchett and Sandra Cerino combined for 1:53.50 to win the 200 freestyle relay.
