The Don and Dana Myers Cancer Center’s 2017 cancer report is now available for online viewing.

Each year, the Seymour cancer center publishes an annual report on its comprehensive cancer program. The report gives detailed information on 2016 cases and outcomes, new treatments and the many support services available to patients.

“Our annual cancer report breaks down an entire year of clinical excellence into easy-to-follow numbers and charts. This statistical analysis allows us to look for trends and to compare ourselves to national averages,” said Sally Acton, director of Cancer and Palliative Care Services at Schneck.

The cancer center is accredited by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons and in 2016 was granted its Outstanding Achievement Award. It is one of only 41 cancer programs across the nation to receive the distinguished award.

In addition, the cancer center is one of only four in the state and the only cancer program in southern Indiana to be honored.
