Tigers top Lions

SELLERSBURG

Crothersville held Rock Creek Academy to one point in the fourth quarter to pick up a 67-54 victory on Saturday.

The Tigers trailed the Lions 38-34 at the half, but outscored RCA 26-11 in the third quarter to lead 60-53 heading into the final eight minutes.

CHS tacked on seven more points while buckling down on defense to secure the win in the fourth quarter.

Tayler Brewer led the Tigers with 25 points and Piper Hensley scored 22 points (five 3-pointers).

The Tigers (8-4) will play at West Washington on Thursday.

Braves earn MSC win

AUSTIN

Brownstown Central held Austin scoreless in the third quarter to come away with a 47-32 Mid-Southern Conference win on Saturday.

The Braves led 17-7 after eight minutes of play and 24-19 at the break.

BC (8-4, 3-2 MSC) added 17 points in the third quarter to cruise to the win.

Ashley Schroer led the Braves with 11 points and Madison Klinge scored seven.

The Braves will host Clarksville tomorrow.

Tigers win conference opener

BORDEN

Crothersville beat Borden 48-46 on Saturday to open Southern Athletic Conference play.

The victory was the first for the Tigers over the Braves since the 2003-04 season.

Crothersville (4-2, 1-0 SAC) led 14-8 in the first quarter and 23-21 at the break.

Both teams scored 25 points in the second half.

Logan Brewer and Dylan Wilson topped the Tigers’ scoring with 11 points each.

The Tigers will host Shawe Memorial on Friday.

Braves stay undefeated

VERSAILLES

Brownstown Central sank 12 3-pointers, and made 27 field goals total, in a 72-42 victory at South Ripley on Saturday.

The Braves dropped 37 points in the first half while holding the Raiders to 18.

Brownstown Central (4-0) added 21 more in the third before coasting to the win.

Cameron Luedeman led the Braves with 28 points (six 3-pointers) and Michael Boshears added 17. Boshears and Caleb Bollinger (12 points) each hit two 3s.

The Braves have extended its “John Harrell Mythical Traveling Trophy” streak to four games since taking it in the first game of the season against Salem.

Brownstown will host North Harrison on Friday for a Mid-Southern Conference game.
