Epsilon Sigma Alpha November Meeting

Delta Delta chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha met Nov. 11 at the Community Foundation of Jackson County in Seymour.

President Tonja Couch called the meeting to order. Samantha Collier opened with a prayer and chaplain report. Roll call was taken with members answering to “What is your greatest achievement you’re thankful for?”

Vice President Susan Waltz informed members of an informal rush that will be conducted as part of the December meeting. Members are to let Waltz know if they are bringing a guest. Kara Abraham presented the treasurer report.

The education for the night was presented by Karen Brooks, a regional foster care specialist. She provided members with information on the foster care system in our area and in Indiana.

Barb Grant gave the philanthropic report. The Oktoberfest profited more than $1,700, and the winner of the $999 was Troy Lewis of North Vernon.

Members volunteered their time face painting Nov. 27 at One Chamber Christmas in downtown Seymour.

Wagons were purchased for the Schneck Medical Center pediatric area. Tiemeiers Jewelers will engrave plaques.

Ways and means reported on the sale of poinsettias. There were seven red flowers left to sell. The flowers could be picked up at Jubilee Flowers & Gifts after Nov. 30.

The meeting was adjourned following the closing ritual.
