It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but not for everyone.

The holidays can be hard if you have experienced the death of a loved one, struggle with an illness, have gone through a divorce or are lonely.

That’s why local churches have come together to offer a Blue Christmas Service at 7 p.m. Sunday at Rockford United Methodist Church, 1934 N. Ewing St., Seymour.

Anyone is welcome to attend the service for uplifting worship, prayer time and fellowship.

The service is sponsored by Bethel Community Church, First United Methodist Church, Ogilville United Methodist Church, Rockford United Methodist Church and Trinity United Methodist Church.
