James B. “Jim” Land, 82, of Crothersville, IN, passed away at 10:10 AM on December 16, 2017 at Schneck Medical Center. Born August 21, 1935 in Confluence, KY, he was the son of Bill Land and Lula (Langdon) Boyd, who are both deceased.

Jim served in the United States Army and worked at Nolting’s IGA, Arvin Industries, and J-Cam Auto Sales. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #512 in Little York, IN, enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, horseshoes, recreational poker, gardening, was a big teaser and loved to pester people.

In 1954 at Scaffold Lick Baptist Church, he married Gernetta (Field) Land who survives in Crothersville, IN.

Survivors include his 3 children, Bonnie (Doug) Bell Frink of Nineveh, IN, Brenda (Brad) Jones Barron of Crothersville, IN, and James “Buddy” (Lisa) Land of Crothersville, IN, 5 grandchildren, Benjamin R. (Cheryl) Bell of Greenwood, IN and Joseph R. Bell of Seymour, IN, Darrin M. (Amber) Jones of Crothersville, IN, Jaime (Erika) Land of Crothersville, IN, and Sarah (Jarred) Boswell of Scottsburg, IN, 10 great grandchildren, 3 sisters & 3 brothers, Billie (James) Shelton of Charlestown, IN, Ronald (Myrtle) Land of Seymour, IN, Gale (Phil) Conner of Seymour, IN, Janie Moore of Scottsburg, IN, Jerry Campbell of Scottsburg, IN, and Terry Campbell of Oregon.

He was preceded in death by 3 siblings, David Campbell, Joyce Cox, and Sammy Campbell.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, visitation prior from Noon to 2:00 PM at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville with burial to follow at Uniontown Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville.
