Larry Robert Noblitt, 69, of Seymour, lost his battle with cancer at 5:05 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Seymour Crossing. He had been ill for 3 years.

He served in the U.S. Army 484th Field Service Company during Vietnam. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jonesville. He was formerly employed with Exopack. Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, watching NASCAR, game shows and westerns and had a love for animals.

He was born August 25, 1948 in San Bernardino, California to the late Wilber & Virginia Noblitt. He moved to Jackson County in 1970. On August 8, 1986 he married his loving wife, Mina Cathy Mitchell Mifflin and she preceded him in death on March 9, 2008.

Survivors include 3 step children, Mina Ann Eggers of Plainfield, IN, Mike (Julie) Mitchell and Scott Mitchell both of Seymour; 4 grandchildren, Brian & Hannah Mitchell, Johnna (Joe) Ivory and Tyler Mitchell; 3 great grandchildren, Alisia & Calvin Ivory and Gram Mitchell; one uncle, Robert & Shirley Noblitt of Jonesville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Gary “Callie” Noblitt and a step-son, Johnny Mitchell.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, December 23rd at 12:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Jonesville with Rev. Edgar Keinath officiating. Friends may call at the church Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will take place in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery with full Military Graveside rites.
