Gary and Jimmie-Lou Ault of Seymour celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 21.

They were married Dec. 21, 1967, at Spraytown Free Methodist Church by the late Rev. Henry Neal.

Jimmie-Lou is the daughter of the late Clarence Amos and Lucille Brown Hurt. Gary is the son of the late Robert Glenn and Rosemary Cole Ault.

The couple have two children, Robyne Ault of Indianapolis and Jodi (Tom) Conner of Lawrenceburg; and two grandchildren, Maryne Lucille and Lucy Ault.

Gary, a lifelong farmer along with his brothers, still is actively engaged in the family farm operation started by their father in the 1940s. In addition to farming, he worked in the graphic arts department at Cosco for 35 years.

Jimmy-Lou is a retired registered nurse with a lifelong career in the health care field that began at the age of 16 as a nurse’s aide at Schneck Medical Center. At the time of her retirement as a registered nurse, she was a certified wound, ostomy, continence and foot care nurse at Columbus Regional Hospital.

They are planning a quiet celebration with their immediate family in Indianapolis and are traveling to Hawaii in 2018.

Both are active members of Spraytown Free Methodist Church.
