Medora man dies from crash injuries

A 38-year-old local man injured in a one-vehicle wreck Wednesday in the 10800 block of North Haleysburg Road in Washington County has died.

Phillip Meade of Medora passed away at 10:23 p.m. Sunday at University of Louisville Hospital.

Meade, who was found unconscious and trapped inside of his car, was flown to Louisville after the wreck reported at about 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, according to a report from the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.

The funeral for Meade, who was a carpenter and the father of two children, PJ and Peyton, will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Hague Funeral Home in Medora. Calling will be from 4 p.m. until time of service.

Capt. Ryan Larrimore, who is investigating the wreck, was assisted by personnel with Washington County Ambulance Service, Salem Fire Department and Jefferson Township and Monroe Township volunteer fire departments.
