The Friends of the Jackson County Public Library’s first 2018 bimonthly sale will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the meeting room at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

Special friends-only previews also will be conducted from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday and at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

This sale will feature several pieces of surplus furniture and equipment, including children’s furniture from the Crothersville Library.

Items are priced as follows: Adult hardback and softbound books are $1; children’s books, young adult books and small paperbacks are 50 cents; and DVDs are $2. During the final two hours of the sale, volunteers will supply bags to fill with books for $3 a bag.

Donations of gently used books, DVDs and CDs are welcome to help stock upcoming bimonthly sales and the ongoing sales at the Seymour, Crothersville and Medora libraries. Donors may drop them off at any checkout desk during library hours.

Anyone interested in becoming a Friend of the Jackson County Public Library or renewing their annual membership will find forms at the sale and public desks in the libraries or online at myjclibrary.org/friends-of-the-library.

Annual dues are $5 for individuals, $10 for family, $25 for donor and $50 for benefactor.

The next Friends of the Jackson County Public Library book sale will be March 3 at the Seymour Library.
