BRANDON, Miss. — Four candidates are running for a vacant seat in the Mississippi House of Representatives.
State election officials said Thursday that Jim Giles, Morris Mock Jr., Bob Morrow and Fred Shanks will be on the ballot Feb. 20 in House District 60 in parts of Rankin County. If a runoff is needed, it will be March 13.
The race is to fill nearly the final two years of a term started by Republican John Moore of Brandon, who resigned from the House in December.
Candidates run without party labels in special elections.
