Online applications are being accepted through Jan. 18 for the 2018 Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana  scholarship program.

Since 2008, the organization has awarded more than $800,000 in scholarships to students in financial need who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and community involvement.

In 2018, 20 Central Indiana high school seniors will receive a $5,000 scholarship. To apply, a student must:

• Be a high school senior with a minimum 2.7 GPA and eligible to attend an accredited two- or four-year college, university or technical school with a full course of study
• Be a legal U.S. resident and younger than 21 years old
• Live in RMHCCIN’s geographic area (visit RMHCCIN website for a list of all eligible counties)

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana provides a supportive home-away-from-home for families of children receiving medical care at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health and other area hospitals.
