Aquatic Control presents awards

Three employees of Aquatic Control Inc. were recognized for their years of service to the Seymour company during the firm’s Christmas celebration Dec. 9 at the Columbus Pump House.

After dinner, 10 new employees were introduced before the service awards were given to David A. Isaacs, Brian Isaacs and Barb Garner.

David Isaacs began his employment with the Rust family in 1966. Since that time, he has held many positions within the company. From 1973 to 1980, he served as laboratory director; from 1977 to 1988, he served as fish hatchery manager; and from 1988 to 1997, he served as manager of fountains/aeration.

David was named vice president in 1997 and president in 2000, serving in this position of leadership until his retirement in December 2017.

CEO and owner Leah Rust-Essex presented David with a gift to thank him for his contributions to the company and the industry.

Upon his retirement, the board of directors named Matthew K. Johnson president.

Brian Isaacs was recognized for 25 years of service. He began working at the fish hatchery and eventually was named hatchery manager. In 2004, he transitioned to a sales position at the Seymour headquarters. In 2017, he was named chemical sales and marketing supervisor.

Johnson thanked Brian for his 25 years of service and presented him with an award.

Garner, the office assistant at the satellite office in Valparaiso, was recognized for five years of service.
