The January meeting of the Delta Delta chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha was at the Community Foundation of Jackson County in Seymour.

President Tonja Couch called the meeting to order. Members responded to roll call by answering to “What would you prefer, one wish now or three wishes later?”

Couch preformed a pinning ceremony for new member Parker Waltz, son of member Suzan Waltz. A treasurer report was given and approved.

Several projects were reported on for philanthropic. The chapter purchased three red wagons from money raised at its Oktoberfest booth and donated them to Schneck Medical Center pediatrics department.

It was reported that the November craft day profited $355 for Easter Seals.

There will be another craft/scrapbook day from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Community Foundation meeting room. The cost is $15.

A do-it-yourself Mason jar box fundraiser will be scheduled for February or March. The Relay for Life will be May 11 inside Seymour High School. Plans for a purple toilet fundraiser is planned for April or March.

Libby Kimmel informed members of upcoming ways and means projects. Members are encouraged to save items for a garage sale that will be planned for sometime in April.

Also, dining out and bake sale fundraisers are in the works. More information will be sent out.

Kimmel had members sign a thank-you note to Jay C Food Stores for donating the meeting raffle prizes. A total of $45 was raised. Susan Waltz, Linda Hofer and Parker Waltz were the prize winners.

The next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Community Foundation.
