Ellen Clara “Bootsie” Campbell of Crothersville, IN, 78, a resident of Lake Pointe Village in Scottsburg, IN, passed away in the arms of her loving husband, Troy at 6:20 AM on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Lake Pointe Village. Born July 12, 1939 in Estil County, KY, she was the daughter of James Edward Akers and Bessie (Smith) Acres.

Clara was a 1956 Paris Crossing High School graduate. She worked for the former US Shoe Corporation in Crothersville, IN for 12 years in the cutting room and also worked at Dickson’s in Seymour, IN, in the accounts receivable for two years. She enjoyed working in her flowers, sewing, crocheting, and enjoyed traveling. Clara was a former member of Foursquare Church and attended the House of Prayer in Austin,IN. On December 30, 1966 at the Cana United Methodist Church, she married Troy Lee Campbell who survives at Lake Pointe Village.

Other survivors include siblings, Sherry Colwell of Scottsburg, IN, Janita Pennington of Scottsburg, IN, Josie (Ronnie) Sawyer of Crothersville, IN, Charley (Carma) Akers of Deputy, IN, Paul (Dianna) Akers of San Springs, OK, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings, Billy Akers, Wanda Grigsby, Joyce Plessinger, Garry Akers, James Akers and Debbie Ousley.

Pastor Jerry Ousley will conduct funeral services at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville, with burial to follow at Cana Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, February 12, 2018 and after 9:00 AM on Tuesday, all at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville.
