Melvin D. Tatlock, of Edinburgh, passed away on January 1st, 2018 of a sudden illness. Melvin was born October 28, 1944 on the farm near Tampico, Indiana. He was the youngest son of Kerry and Marie (Wolff) Tatlock.

Melvin graduated from Tampico High School class of 1962 where he played basketball. Melvin retired from Cummins Engine Co. where he was employed for 27 years as a quality control analyst and received several awards from his employer for exemplary work in his field. Melvin enjoyed playing softball and was an avid supporter of his children in their various endeavors.

Melvin is survived by his sons David (Edith) Tatlock, Las Vegas NV and Todd (Julie) Tatlock, Edinburgh, IN; grandchildren Trent, Taylor, Trinity, Tanna, Hannah, MaryCatherine and Brittany Tatlock; brothers Robert and Donald Tatlock along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Richard, brother Gerald, sisters Helen Harbin and Doris Lee.

Services will be held Sunday, February 18th at 2 pm at Russell Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the cemetery from 1:30 until time of service.
