Purdue Polytechnic to host Day in College

Area students interested in exploring engineering and technology careers and their parents are invited to participate in an upcoming Day In College event at Purdue Polytechnic Columbus.

The event will be from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at Purdue Polytechnic Columbus, 4444 Kelly St.

Students will be treated to a true day in college with the opportunity to attend classes, engage with faculty and staff and learn more about student life.

Parents can learn more about financial aid and tuition assistance available to incoming students. Participants also will learn about technology-related internships and careers from local business and industry representatives.

Families are encouraged to reserve a spot for the event by visiting polytechnic.purdue.edu/columbus/dayincollege.

Degrees offered at Purdue Polytechnic Columbus include six bachelor’s degree programs in computer information technology, engineering technology, industrial engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, organizational leadership and robotics engineering technology.

More than 92 percent of Purdue Polytechnic Columbus graduates find a job in their chosen field upon graduation and earn an average starting salary of $54,950, according to a news release from the school.
