A Dr. Seuss birthday celebration for children in preschool through second grade will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the cafeteria at Brownstown Elementary School, 612 S. Base Road.

Besides the chance to meet the Cat in the Hat, there will be face painting, games and crafts for those in attendance.

In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be March 15.

The Epsilon Phi chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa and Brownstown Public Library are co-sponsors of the celebration.
