The Friends of the Jackson County Public Library’s bimonthly sale is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the meeting room at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.
A special Friends-only preview sale is from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday.
This sale will feature specially priced surplus library furniture and equipment. Photos of the items will be on the Friends of the Jackson County Public Library Facebook page by Friday morning.
Regular sale item prices are adult hardbacks, softbound books and music CDs for $1; children’s and young adult books and small paperbacks for 50 cents; and DVDs for $2.
During the final two hours of the sale, volunteers will hand out plastic bags to fill with items for $3 per bag.
Donations of gently used books, movies and music are welcome to help stock the bimonthly sales and ongoing sales at the Seymour, Crothersville and Medora libraries. Drop them off at any checkout desk during regular library hours.
Anyone interested in becoming a Friend of the Jackson County Public Library or renewing their annual membership will find the forms at the sale, at the checkout desks or online at myjclibrary.org/friends. Annual dues are $5 for individuals, $10 for family, $25 for donor and $50 for benefactor.
