BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. — A Mississippi man has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a 2014 shooting at a bar.
News outlets reported Friday that 24-year-old Trey Hugh Tillery pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault.
Assistant District Attorney Chris Daniel says the bar’s owner and another employee, who Tillery also shot, apprehended and disarmed the Gulfport man after he tried to flee the scene.
Officers say witnesses stated that Tillery was standing at the entrance ramp of the bar and fired two shots from a .40 caliber Glock handgun into the leg and foot of the first victim.
Daniel says Tillery then fired two more shots as he fled before being apprehended. The victim was taken to a hospital and treated for his wounds.
Tillery’s sentencing is scheduled for April 26.
