Autism meeting being planned

Seymour Community Schools and the Indiana Resource Center for Autism are partnering to offer a parent group meeting on “Using Visual Supports in the Home.”

The meeting will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday in the cafeteria at Seymour-Redding Elementary School, 1700 N. Ewing St. Guests should enter through Door 2.

Melissa Dubie, an educational consultant at the Indiana Resource Center for Autism will present the program, showing parents how to implement visual supports and strategies that are used in the classroom at home.

Light refreshments will be available, and teachers will be on hand to provide child care in the school’s sensory room.
