Fire reported at tire store south of Crothersville

UPDATED at 2:10 p.m.: The fire at  Lee’s Tire store just south of Crothersville has been brought under controlled and no injuries have been reported, according to the county’s Emergency Management Agency director.

Davis said firefighters from multiple departments responded to the fire reported at around 1 p.m. Tuesday.

U.S. 31, which was temporarily closed as firefighters fought the fire, has reopened, he said.

The fire was contained to an area containing a lot of tires, but the building was not fully engulfed, firefighters reported.
