Mr. Zakary Allen Klakamp, 23, of Seymour, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018, in Carmel. He was born in Seymour on March 14, 1994 to Craig Allen Klakamp and Debra Elaine (Bowman) Pettay.

Funeral services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday, March 8 at 10 am with Rev. Scott Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday from 4-8 pm and on Thursday from 9 am until time of service.

He was a graduate of Seymour High School, class of 2012. He was a member of Reddington Christian Church. He was employed as a plumber at Mission Mechanical in Indianapolis. Zak got his start in plumbing with Pardieck’s in Seymour. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, working the family farm with his grandfather, uncle and friend, James Connolly, and being with friends. Zak had a great personality, sense of humor and a caring heart. He would help anyone in need.

He is survived by his mother, Debra (John) Pettay; sister, Emma Lvonne Klakamp; stepsiblings, Suzzie (Justin Spradlin) Pettay, Carrie Pettay and Elijah Pettay; maternal grandparents, James and Myra Bowman; paternal grandmother, Sharon Klakamp; Uncles, Steven (Celeste) Bowman and Curt (Angela) Klakamp; Aunts, Julie (Michael) Tracey and Peggy Bowman; girlfriend, Samantha Unland and her daughter, Layla; as well as cousins, Isaac and Nick Bowman, Caitlin and Jeremiah Tracey, and Leigha and Sophie Klakamp.

He is preceded in death by his father; and paternal grandfather, Dale Klakamp.
