Pine Ridge Homemakers Meeting

Carolyn Krieger gave a lesson on “Everybody Needs to Move” when Pine Ridge Extension Homemakers Club met Feb. 27 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Seymour.

She stressed the values of exercise and gave tips on actions that would benefit balance, muscle-building and weight loss.

President Mary Ann Seaney presided at the business session. A new county project this year will be to help provide weekend food for children in local schools who otherwise would not have anything to eat.

Norma Pollert will deliver Meals on Wheels for the club March 13.

Two backpacks and contents were displayed that will be delivered next month to Child Protective Services.

Seaney, the hostess, served a dessert course. Favors were colorful butterflies and candy-filled boxes. The hostess prize went to Mary Miller.

The next meeting will be at 1:30 p.m. March 27 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Adrene Wunder as hostess.
