Annalee Turley, 63, passed away on March 9, 2018 in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on October 1, 1954 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Marion L. and Opal Marie (Miner) Broady. She was currently holding the elected position of Scott County Recorder into her 2nd term, since 2012, in the Scott County Courthouse. She also worked as an Election Clerk for the Scott County Clerk’s Office for about 10 years and a teller for the old Scott County State Bank all in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, where she was on the Board of Trustees and the Fellowship Committee. She lived all of her life in Scott County, Indiana and was a member of the 4H Council, Indiana Sheep Breeders Association, FFA Advisory Board, Young Farmers Ridge Runners Group and Secretary of the Scott County Farm Bureau Association. She also was a member of the Thong Girls, enjoyed gardening, canning, a great cook and most of all Annalee enjoyed running Phil’s John Deere combine on the farm and which Phil said, “She was the best combine operator he had ever trained.” She was married on August 8, 2009 to Phil Turley, who survives. Other survivors include: two daughters: Kari and husband Shawn Jacob of Birdseye, Indiana and Jennifer and husband Adam Keever of Muncie, Indiana; two brothers: Steve and wife Joyce Broady and James and wife Barbara, all of Scottsburg, Indiana; two granddaughters: Caroline Keever of Muncie, Indiana and Macenzie Jacob of Birdseye, Indiana. She also had several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband; Rex Harrison and a daughter; Lara Ann Harrison. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home with Matt Craig & Phil LaMaster officiating. Visitation: 3 to 8 pm Tuesday and after 9 am Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home. Cremation was requested following funeral service. Memorial Contributions to: Scottsburg High School FFA Alumni or Scott County 4H Council care of Collins Funeral Home.
