Spring break activities planned at libraries

The Jackson County Public Library is offering free spring break activities next week at all three locations.

At Crothersville and Medora, there will be sidewalk chalk at 2:30 p.m. Monday and drop-in crafts and board games Wednesday and March 23. All ages are welcome.

At Seymour, there will be sidewalk chalk for children in preschool through second grade from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Monday and for grades 3 through 5 from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Children 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Also at Seymour, behind-the-scenes library tours for kindergartners through fifth-graders will be at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday with a limit of 10 per tour; the movie “The Emperor’s New Groove” will be shown at 1 p.m. March 23; and a medieval lock-in for third- through fifth-graders will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 23 with a limit of 20. A permission slip for the lock-in must be turned in by this Friday.

Seymour also will have drop-in crafts, board and card games and a scavenger hunt for all ages all week.
