David Earl Frietzsche, 66, of North Vernon passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018, at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born on September 4, 1951 in Indianapolis, Mr. Frietzsche was the son of William E. and Margie Velma Campfield Frietzsche. He married Mercedita Salazar on February 2, 2010 in North Vernon. She survives.

Mr. Frietzsche was the owner and operator of Trash Haulers in North Vernon from 1997 until present and the owner of a dump trucking hauling and lawn care service. He had previously worked for his father with Bill’s Trash Service, was a Yellow Cab Taxi driver and cross country semi-driver. Dave had a passion and dedication for his work that created many lifelong friendships. He enjoyed working, socializing with friends, watching wrestling and he loved family time.

Surviving with his wife, Mercedita are, sons, William D. “Billy” (Christina) Frietzsche of Martinsville and Nicholas “Nick” (Jessica) Frietzsche Sr. of Indianapolis, daughter, Alice (Trent) Foga of North Vernon; step-sons, Jefferson (Annalyn) Dayrit and Jonathan (Pinky) Dayrit both of the Philippines; foster son, Eddie Brandewiede of North Vernon; sisters, Amber (fiance, A.J. Steady) Parrish of North Vernon and Christine (Larry Cleavenger) Lange of Columbus; grandchildren, Kayla, Cheyenne & Hailey Frietzsche all of Martinsville, Jacob, Chloe, and Nick Frietzsche Jr., Chase Martin and Justin Cornett all of Indianapolis, and Ricky Wood of North Vernon; step-grandchildren, Jesslyn, Ania and Amber Dayrit all of the Philippines and one great-grandchild, Blaze Wood of North Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service for Mr. Frietzsche will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will be Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor or Mr. Frietzsche to either of the Mercy Rescue and Adoption, American Kidney Foundation or American Heart Association.
