Jackson County Treasurer Roger Hurt recently announced the 2017 pay 2018 property tax billings are scheduled to be completed with mailing starting April 9 to the address on current file.

The first installment, spring tax, is due May 10, and the second installment, fall tax, is due Nov. 13.

Payments made in the treasurer’s office at the Jackson County Courthouse in Brownstown must be in the form of cash or check during business hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Taxpayers also may pay at any of The Peoples Bank branches or at State Bank of Medora with their tax statement.

Payments are accepted online at jackson-tax.net or jacksoncounty.in.gov or by calling 888-809-5849. There is a processing fee.
