The annual Jefferson/Jackson Day Dinner will be April 27 at The Pines Evergreen Room at U.S. 31 and County Road 400N, Seymour.

The Jackson County Democratic Party event will feature state District 65 Rep. Terry Goodin, D-Austin, as keynote speaker. Other candidates for the party’s nomination for the Ninth District congressional seat will be in attendance. They are Liz Watson, Dan Canon and Robert Chatlos.

John Perkins, a Democratic Party candidate for the state Senate District 45, and Steve Schoettmer, a Democratic Party candidate for the state House District 69 seat, also will be there.

The cost is $25 per person and $50 a couple.
