INDOT’s contractor has scheduled hydro-demolition operations to remove bridge deck overlays at County Line Road and County Road 625S this week as part of the state’s $143 million Next Level construction project between Seymour and Columbus.
I-65’s northbound right lane will close at 9 p.m. today under the County Line Road bridge — weather permitting — located at mile marker 56.4. Overhead demolition will then require closure of the southbound right lane, then both northbound and southbound left lanes. Restrictions will be lifted by 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Both county road bridges may remain closed to traffic for 45 days while repairs and superstructure modifications take place. County Line Road/County Road 1100N traffic detours around the closure are via County Road 80W, County Road 1050S, County Road 150W, County Road 950S and County Road 60E. County Road 625S traffic detours are via County Road 250W, County Road 600S, County Road 300W, County Road450S/State Road 58 and County Road 100W.
E&B Paving is Indiana’s contractor for this I-65 Southeast Indiana Best Value Project. The north-south interstate is being completely reconstructed as a six-lane roadway between U.S. 50 in Seymour and State Road 58 in Walesboro. It is being repaired and resurfaced between State Road 58 and the ramps at State Road 46 in Columbus. The three-year project impacts 27 bridges.
