Southern Indiana Center for the Arts has scheduled a Paint the Town event from 6 to 8 p.m. May 3 at the center, 2001 N. Ewing St., Seymour.

Spring Awakening is an 11-by-14-inch acrylic painting where participants will be able to choose their colors to fit their décor. This freestyle painting allows participants to paint their background using paper towels rather than using the traditional paintbrush. Each painting will be different.

The class size is limited to 12. Participants must preregister and prepay no later than April 28 to participate. The class price of $25 includes all supplies and instruction.
