A traffic stop early Tuesday on Interstate 65 north of Seymour resulted in the arrest of a Hendricks County man on four drug-related charges and two gun-related charges.
The arrest of Stephen Hoop, 39, of Clayton occurred after a trooper conducted the stop near the 55-mile-marker at Jonesville and discovered drugs, paraphernalia and gun, according to a news release from Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, public information officer for the Versailles Post.
Hoop was traveling northbound in his Ford F150 when Trooper Randel Miller made the stop shortly after 9 a.m. and became suspicious of illegal activity, Wheeles said.
