The Seymour High School choral department invites the community to its first Slices and Songs fundraiser Thursday at The Brooklyn Pizza Co. and Harmony Park, 753 W. Second St.,  Seymour.

During the event, which begins at 5 p.m., choir members will perform songs from a variety of musical genres. Those planning to attend should bring a lawn chair or blanket on which to sit.

Admission is $2, and food and drinks will be available for purchase with proceeds going to benefit the choral department. Those wanting to support the cause should mention SHS choirs when ordering food.
