BizVoice magazine teamed up with the Best Companies Group of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to rank Indiana’s best employers, and a financial services company with five advisers in Jackson County was ranked No 1.

For 13 consecutive years, Edward Jones has ranked in the top six Best Places to Work in Indiana, according to a news release from the company. The program was established by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce 13 years ago.

Companies named Top 125 Places to Work in Indiana for 2018 were divided into 13 major companies with 1,000 or more U.S. employees, including Edward Jones, 25 large companies, 30 medium companies and 57 small-sized companies by the number employees in Indiana.

The ranking was based on an employer inventory of practices and an anonymous survey of employees, who were asked to agree or disagree with dozens of statements about the firm, teamwork and their individual experience at the firm.

The five financial advisers with offices in Seymour are Steve Shoemaker, Andrea Hall, Adam Jackson, Patrick Baltus and DonJay Rice.
