Library announces June book discussions

Jackson County Public Library book discussion groups plan to gather to discuss book themes, writing styles, characters and more in June at the Seymour, Crothersville and Medora libraries.

The groups are open to adults, and there is no attendance requirement. The books are available to check out at the library checkout desks.

The Tuesday Night Book Club will discuss its monthly book at 7 p.m. June 12 at San Marcos, 501 N. Ewing St., Seymour, where they will review “Before We Were Yours” by Lisa Wingate. Everyone attending should bring money if they plan to eat and should sign up for the program as they check out the book from the Seymour Library checkout desk.

Fantastic Fiction will discuss “Same Beach, Next Year” by Dorothea Benton Frank at 11 a.m. June 15 at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St. This group meets on the third Friday of each month.

The book discussion group at the Crothersville Library will gather and share thoughts on “American Wife” by Curtis Sittenfeld at 6 p.m. June 20. The group meets on the third Wednesday of each month at the library, 120 W. Main St., Crothersville.

The Medora Library book discussion group will meet at 6 p.m. June 25 to talk about “Two by Two” by Nicholas Sparks. The group meets on the fourth Monday of each month at the library, 27 W. Main St., Medora.
