Election board to meet at courthouse

The Jackson County Election Board will meet at 4 p.m. June 7 in the Purdue Extension Jackson County office in the basement of the courthouse.

The agenda includes administering the oath of office to Julie Rohlfing of Brownstown, who is replacing longtime board member Jack Spurgeon.

Spurgeon is the Jackson County Democratic Party’s representative on the board, while Tom Terkhorn represents the Jackson County Republican Party. The third board member is county Clerk Amanda Lowery, who serves as the board’s secretary. Lowery is the county Republican Party’s chairwoman.
