Seymour barber to christen Milan ’54 barbershop

Terry Campbell of Seymour has been selected to inaugurate the newly restored historic Nichols’ Barbershop at the Milan ’54 Hoosiers Museum in Milan.

The museum will be offering free haircuts Saturday as part of Water Tower Dedication Day activities in honor of the newly restored “State Champs 1954” water tower. The tower commemorates Milan’s 1954 single-class Indiana boys basketball high school state championship.

Campbell, as part of the museum’s guest barber program, will be the first barber to cut hair in the barbershop since its restoration. Haircuts will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Nichols’ Barbershop, 203 W. Carr St. next to the Milan ’54 Hoosiers Museum.
