The American Red Cross recently announced its schedule of blood drives for the first half of July.

Two of those drives will be in North Vernon. The dates, times and locations of the blood drives are 1 to 6 p.m. July 10 at First United Methodist Church, 240 Poplar St., and 2 to 7 p.m. July 12 at Jennings County Elementary School, 810 W. Walnut St.

Donations often fail to meet needs around the holidays.
