A 23-year-old man faces three dealing in methamphetamine charges as part of an investigation by Seymour police.

Nicholas Andrew Shutters of Seymour was arrested on those felony charges and booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown at 2:59 p.m. Friday. He was being held without bond Monday pending his initial hearing in Jackson Circuit Court.

Those charges stem from an investigation in which police made three controlled purchases of methamphetamine from Shutters, Seymour Officer Mike Henley said. Henley and Officer Mathew Carver conducted that investigation and made the arrest.

Shutters also faces additional felony charges of possession of a syringe, possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia and a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana/hashish.

Those charges stem from a search of Shutters during his arrest by Cpl. Adam Surface, Henley said.
