The Ride for the Roses is set for Aug. 11 with proceeds to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The cost is $25 for single riders or $40 for two riders.

Registration for the motorcycle ride is at 11:30 a.m. that day at American Legion Post 89, 414 W. Second St., Seymour. Kickstands will go up at noon.

Online registration is available at ridefortheroses.passioncff.org. Those registering by Saturday will receive a T-shirt.

The stops on the ride will be at Story Inn in Nashville, Bruster’s Real Ice Cream in Bloomington, Farmers Gas Station in Bedford and Country Inn in Dudleytown.

At 5 p.m., there will be an after-party with food, music and prizes at the American Legion.

The event will help raise funds to support Great Strides fundraising efforts and help the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation forward its mission to find a cure for all people with cystic fibrosis, which is a progressive genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has fueled dramatic improvements in cystic fibrosis research and care. Because of the foundation, people with cystic fibrosis are living longer and healthier lives, and the outlook for those people continues to improve every year.
