Dr. Joseph Lamb, med-peds hospitalist at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, has earned the distinction of Outstanding Med-Peds Resident from Indiana University School of Medicine.

The honor recognizes a resident physician whose combination of clinical excellence, leadership skills, commitment to the residency program and contributions to medical education set them apart from others.

“Dr. Lamb has been an exceptional resident physician, evident through student, peer and faculty evaluations consistently praising his professionalism, teaching capacity, medical knowledge and patient-focused approach to medicine,” states a representative from the Indiana University Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency Program.

Lamb recently joined the medical staff at Schneck Medical Center as a med-peds hospitalist. He received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College Of Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky, and then completed his four-year residency in med-peds at Indiana University School of Medicine in June.
