A local agribusiness is seeking a special exception from the Jackson County Board of Zoning Appeals for construction of an office and breakroom.

The board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Jackson County Courthouse Annex, 220 E. Walnut St., Brownstown, to consider the request from Rose Acre Farms.

The 32-by-50-foot building would be constructed between two existing chicken houses on a 9.50-acre site at 7700 N. County Road 350E.

Board meetings are open to the public and press.

The plan commission gave the company’s request a favorable recommendation during its July meeting.
