Beta Kappa chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha is sponsoring the 2018 Seymour Oktoberfest prince and princess contest.

All boys and girls who are residents of Jackson County and between the ages of 6 and 10 before Oktoberfest are eligible to enter this contest. This year’s festival is Oct. 4 through 6.

The winning prince and princess are determined by who raises the most money. All contestants who turn in money will receive prizes, have their picture in the newspaper and be eligible to ride in the parade.

The crowned prince and princess will each receive a bicycle provided by Beta Kappa and other prizes.

Funds raised by this project will benefit various Beta Kappa philanthropic projects and ways and means. Some of the annual projects are Jackson County United Way, Community Provisions of Jackson County, Reins to Recovery Inc. Therapeutic Riding Center, Clarity Cares, Anchor House Family Assistance Center and Pantry, Easter Seals and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
