The Hayden Historical Museum’s hours of operation for the winter will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Mondays and from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays.

The hours will be in effect until Memorial Day.

The museum features a research library and an exhibit area with several different displays to highlight Hayden and Spencer Township’s heritage.

Just recently, a special exhibit has been put on display that is called Past Harvest Past. The gallery features 42 photographs of previous Harvest Past events that have been conducted since 1990.

The newest attraction for the museum is the building that was opened in 2015. To find out what home entertainment was before electricity, step in A Place Called Yesterday to see and hear the various musical instruments and devices that require no electricity or battery power. This building also contains a display of an almost complete collection of Life magazines.

Visits can be arranged by calling 812-592-8445, messaging on Facebook or emailing [email protected]. Organizations and civic groups are welcome to tour the facilities.
