The Grandparents Raising Grandchildren ministry has set its next meeting for 7 p.m. Wednesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 504 N. Walnut St., Seymour.

Seymour attorney Amanda Goecker will speak on the topic "Grandparent Rights: What Are They?"

Child care is provided. To reserve a grandchild’s place in child care, call the church office at 812-522-1837.

"We are trying hard to get this grandparent ministry up and running," organizer Shane Bode said. "I know we definitely have a need in our community. Just trying to get the word out."

The group meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at the church.
