The Franklin College Theatre Department will perform William Shakespeare’s "Twelfth Night" at 8 p.m. Oct. 4, 5 and 6 and at 2 p.m. Oct. 7.

The cast for the production includes Chase Loyd, son of Roy and Beverly Stein of Vallonia, as Malvolio and Sydney Johnson, daughter of Michele Johnson of Seymour, as Maria.

Performances will be in Théâtre Margot in the Johnson Center for Fine Arts at Branigin Boulevard and Grizzly Drive.

In one of the Bard’s most popular comedies, shipwrecked twins, a lovesick duke and a vainglorious steward converge in Illyria. Thrown into the mix is a young woman mourning the loss of her brother, who finds herself drawn to the young man sent to woo her on the duke’s behalf, but he may not be the man she thinks he is. Misunderstandings and mistaken identities abound before the happiest of endings.

Robin Roberts, professor of theatre at Franklin College, will direct the play.

General admission is $12. Admission for each performance is $8 for students and seniors (55 and older).
